Well all along I had been a strong contender for the Brazalian squad moving into the finals of the World Cup. You may ask why? Well it was in their mood and body language right from the start of the tournament. And many others also predicted them a confortable sailing through the quarters.
But yesterday was not their day. The Dutch were out there to tame the Brazilians right from the outset. The second half poor performance of the Brazilians cost them the macth and and the hope to touch the cup. In the second quarter final, Ghana the lone surviving African country also faced defeat at the hand of the Uruguay, losing in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw.
So now it is to be seen who overcomes whom in today's two quarter finals between Germany and Argentina, and Spain vs Paraguay.
