So finally the best of the best are bracing them for the quarter finls. The first match is between the probable champion Brazil and Netherlands at Port Elizabeth, South Africa, a shortwhile from now. The Netherlands is one of two teams, along with Argentina, that has won all four of its matches in the tournament. Facing them, Brazil (the five-time world champions) have the history of winning over the Dutch in the World Cups of 1994 and 1998.
The second quarterfinal later today will have Uruguay and Ghana in Johannesburg. The winner of this match will be playing in the semis with either Brazil or Netherlands, next Tuesday. So the first match is going to be the deciding factor.
My earlier predictions as to Who will Win are so far intact, except England that is no more. I am keeping my fingers crossed from now.
