Last night our nearest planet moon came closer to us by some 50,000 kilometres and started us with its full power, which was almost 30% brighter than the usual full moon and almost looked 14% bigger as well. An almost similar phenomenon occurred in 2007, when the full moon came closer between 25 and 26 October, but not as close as this time.
This year, the full moon was 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) from us, making it the biggest and brightest full moon since 1993. The phenomenon occurred because the moon was in its full phase and just 50 minutes past perigee – the point of its orbit that brings it closer to Earth.

People flocked on their roof tops to watch the full moon, which was watching us closely too. The moon will now start to go back, having seen the world torn in conflicts, innocent people getting killed by the drone attacks in Pakistan and foreign forces waging aerial war against the sovereignty of independent countries. Undercover agents killing people and still walking away free, while earthquakes and tsunamis rock and wash away people and building in Japan.
I hope and pray that next time when the full moon visits us again, it sees a better of us, finds us living peacefully respecting each other more and letting others live too, for God created all of us equal with no racial or ethnic ascendance over others.
