.. and then in the end, the last five left on the stage were from Ukraine, Philippines, Brazil, China and Angola. But three had to leave to leave two behind for the final call. The three runners up included Miss China, Miss Philippines and Miss Brazil, leaving behind Miss Ukraine and Miss Angola. The charming smile that Miss Ukraine wore was enough for her to be nominated the Miss Universe 2011 – but to the surprise of many, it was Leila Lopes from Angola which won over the crowd and the judges with her simplicity and became the Miss Universe 2011.
The much surprised and very emotional, the new Miss Universe said "I've worked with various social causes. I work with poor kids; I work in the fight against HIV. I work to protect the elderly and I have to do everything that my country needs. I think now as Miss Universe I will be able to do much more."

Miss Angola deserved to be only 4th runner-up - her answer to the final question was entirely wrong. Read my essay, "Oprah or no Oprah, Shamcey Supsup should be Miss Universe 2011," (Creattitudes, blogspot.com).
Yes I tend to agree with you - I was surprised too when she was nominated
