Defending Champion and World No.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic moved into the Semi Finals of the ATP Rome after an easy 7-5, 6-1 win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Friday. He now faces 2nd ranked Swiss Roger Federer in Saturday afternoon's semi final today.

Roger Federer, who was recently elevated to World No.2 ranking after his Madrid Masters triumph, beat Italian Andreas Seppi 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals Friday to move to the semis.
Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will clash for the 25th time in Rome Masters semi-finals since 2006. Of these 25 encounters, the Swiss dominates the Serb 14-11. The last time the two clashed against each other was at ATP The Mubadala World Tennis Championship (UAE) in 2011 when the Swiss overpowered the Serb in straight simple two srts 6-2, 6-1.
Both players are in their best form whith Federer having a 9-1 win/loss of the last ten matches he played, while Djokovic lost two of his last ten matches against Nadal at Monte Carlo and J. Tipsarevic at Madrid.
Today's encounter would tell whether the Swiss allows the Serb to defend the title or takes upon himself to do hold the title silverware.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, 19 May 2012 at 18:00 GMT
